Canadian Fine Arts specializes in the purchase and sale of important Canadian Art. Our expertise includes turn of the century painters such as Morrice, Suzor-Coté, Cullen, Gagnon and other Impressionist artists of that era. Through the years we have organised important shows and sales of the Group of Seven (MacDonald, Jackson, Harris, Varley, Lismer, Carmichael, Johnston) and some of their famous contemporaries (Thomson, Carr, Milne, Fortin).
Post-war artists are always of special interest to us. We are looking to purchase important works by the Québec Automatistes ( Borduas, Riopelle, Ferron, Gauvreau, Barbeau, Leduc, Mousseau) as well as the Ontario based Painters Eleven.
Independant artists such as Lyman, Pellan, Colville, Lemieux, Dallaire and Kurelek are also bought and sold on a regular basis by the gallery.
